Barrow Hill is a hamlet in Essex. It stands on Mersea Island, about a mile north of West Mersea near to where the Strood causeway meets the island. The hamlet is twenty miles east of the county town, Chelmsford.
The place takes its name from a conspicuous Romano-British barrow found here.
