The River Allen close to Furzehill

River Allen is a river in Dorset. It has its confluence with the River Stour in Wimborne Minster.

River Allen rises on Wyke Farm. It then follows down to Monkton-Up-Wimborne. It then tracks it way to the Watercress Farm, follows down to Honeybrook Farm, then to a mill and then to the bridge that is the mouth of the river.

The river is rich in waterlife, and contains the very rare white-clawed crayfish, known in only a handful of other British rivers.
