Woodstock, is a market town in West Oxfordshire, which lies 8 miles north of Oxford.
Noted historically for its gloves and for Blenheim Palace, the seat of the Dukes of Marlborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, today, the town is the home of the Oxfordshire Museum and is visited by many tourists whether visiting nearby Blenheim Place or exploring the town itself.
The town centre has a High Street of honey-coloured houses built in Cotswold stone.
