The thaw has set in with meltwater swelling the levels of both rivers. The weir on the Honddu is now barely visible and the area of riverbank covered with snow is now under water. The Honddu is noticeably brown and the flow from it can easily be seen as it joins the River Usk. The white building adjoining Brecon Castle is The Castle Hotel. |
