Hungerford Green is a hamlet of Aldworth gathered around a cross-roads on the road to Streatley, east of the heart of the village although Hungerford Green may be bigger by some measures than Aldworth itself.
The lane through Aldworth and Hungerford Green forms a ring with fields within it, and the two may together form an ancient ring village.
