Calthorpe Broad

Calthorpe Broad is an isolated broad amongst the Norfolk Broads, three miles northeast of Stalham, Norfolk.

The New Cut, a navigation channel between Randall's Mill and Hickling Broad, close to the sea, runs to the east but is connected onluy by minor channels.

English Nature manages Calthorpe Broad as a National Nature Reserve, one of over 200 NNRs. It is only 108 acres, but of interest because of its plant life. It is detached from the main network of broads and rivers, but is part of the River Thurne catchment area.
