Laxey Wheel

The Laxey Wheel is a vast waterwheel built in the village of Laxey on the Isle of Man. The wheel itself is seventy-two feet in diameter and six feet wide, revolving at approximately three revolutions a minute.

The wheel is one of the famous sights of the islands. It is owned and maintained today by Manx National Heritage and promoted as part of the 'Great Laxey Wheel and Mines Trail'. (Read more)
