Southampton Water Southampton Water is a deep tidal estuary on the south coast of Great Britain cutting deep into the body of Hampshire north of the Solent. The city of Southampton stands at the north of the water, standing where the River Test and River Itchen meet. Southampton Water forms a vast natural harbour, well sheltered by the lands to east and west, and this have made Southampton the pre-eminent commercial port of the United Kingdom. (Read more)
